Engineering Innovation Awards
The Lighthouse Beacon Foundation champions STEM education by supporting teachers, programs, and schools. To empower future tech leaders, we offer the STEM Materials Award to Pigman Region TSA chapters, providing essential funding for competition materials.
-
The Engineering Innovation Award is designed to support Technology Student Association (TSA) programs by providing financial assistance for the procurement of STEM-related materials. TSA competitions encompass a diverse range of events, from engineering design challenges to robotics and programming contests. To successfully engage in these events, students often require specialized materials, tools, and resources. Our award is designed to alleviate the financial burden associated with these necessities.
-
Engineering Design: Funding for materials and tools needed for building prototypes, models, and functional designs in engineering-related challenges. These can be consumables.
Robotics: Support for components, sensors, and hardware required for building and programming competitive robots.
Programming and Software Development: Resources for software tools, development kits, and equipment necessary for coding and software-related competitions.
Technology Solutions: Materials for creating technological solutions to real-world problems, including electronics, materials for physical models, and project-specific resources.
-
The Lighthouse Beacon Foundation offers Engineering Innovation Awards up to $2,500, which will be allocated based on the specific needs outlined in the application.
-
Completed Application: Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Proposal: A detailed description of the TSA event(s) and/or classroom opportunities the students will be participating in, including the objectives and specific materials needed.
Budget: A clear and itemized budget outlining the costs associated with the required materials and tools.
